Partner country: Japan

JAPAN’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) are striving to spread Japanese agricultural and fishery products and Japanese food abroad. Being the partner country at OMEK 2017 to be held at HUNGEXPO from September 19th to 24th 2017, Japanese government establishes a Japan Pavilion and introduces Japanese traditional flavors such as sake, Japanese beef, sushi and ramen. The world's interest in Japanese foods and related food products is increasing; for example in 2013, the Japanese traditional cuisine "Washoku" was recognized as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage.

In Hungary Japanese sake and sushi are known as the taste of Japan, but there are several other delicious foods in the Japanese cuisine. Please certainly visit the Japan Pavilion, because it is a good opportunity to meet the healthy, safe and secure Taste of Japan. We hope that via Japanese "food" the exhibition at the Japan Pavilion of OMEK will further deepen the business exchanges with Hungary and other European countries.
